[00:00:00] Are we truly making the most of our workday? Or are there hidden pockets of productivity
[00:00:07] just waiting to be discovered? Well in today's episode of Tech Talks Daily, we're going
[00:00:13] to dive deep into the world of business technology. Yes, I'm your host Neil C. Hughes and today
[00:00:19] I'm going to be joined by the magnificent Sam N'm partnering up with a company called Kite Works, who are the sponsors of Tech Talks Daily. But the main reason I'm working with them is that they're offering a world-class secure
[00:01:43] file sharing and email platform that is making it easier for end users to send automated the CEO, Choroscore currently, and have been kind of a sad CEO in the software as a service space for the past 25, 28 years. Well, it's a pleasure to have you on the podcast today. But people listening, hearing about Prolo School for the very first time, can you just tell I've only seen a little bit about what it is? And also, the evolution of the company as well,
[00:03:03] from its conception to its current state, because I suspect there's a bit of a story there too,
[00:04:01] enterprise solution. And for anyone listening that has just had that knee-jerk reaction and jumped to the negative
[00:04:07] side of things, the question I've got to ask on behalf of everyone is how do you balance
[00:04:11] that employee privacy need with the need for productivity in size?
[00:04:16] Because I would imagine it can be quite a tricky balance.
[00:04:19] We've read that the horror stories about businesses that have got it wrong, but I know you're
[00:04:23] completely at the opposite end of that scale and currently has access to were utilizing the APIs from them using our proprietary AI mechanism around it to provide this kind of tool, a scoring system. I always like to find out more about my guess, so that origin story and background, which
[00:05:43] I think very often it shapes the way that you'd sold there, the problems that you've sold for your clients, but how would you say, or what makes you stand out in the crowd from all the other productivity tools in the market?
[00:07:00] Because he's arguably a crowded market. I love to hear more about what makes you guys so
[00:08:05] become ubiquitous and part of the tech stack of the enterprise culture. We believe that poly productivity, broadly defined, is inevitably going to become part
[00:08:11] of the tech stack of corporate world, of the corporate world.
[00:08:15] And we're in the nascent summit.
[00:08:17] It's probably the first or second inning of that adoption.
[00:08:23] And as that, you got a lot of companies that. And the corporate entity, the government agency, wanted all the employees to come back to the office. And they were demanding that they drive an hour, hour and a half each way to their office headquarters.
[00:09:42] And the employees were reluctant as this hybrid world started evolving during COVID and now post one way embark on a similar journey to this, but not sure where they should start and very considerate of getting it right. It's something you can share around the ethical considerations you take into account when you begin implementing productivity tracking because again, very useful for people listening that know they need to do something, but knowing how to do it and those first steps, that's the thing that's often very tricky for business leaders.
[00:11:03] I think Neil, the initial concern, and this goes back to the new category and new category of gamification in there. Do you naturally see employees organically sharing scores and competing with each other? Do you see any of that? In most enterprises that this gets implemented in, we certainly do. Naturally, they're more competitive departments. So the sales team is much more competitive in most organizations and they're quarter driven.
[00:13:24] what was happening with the more thing and evolution into hype. I think it just made it become part of our daily existence and acceptance much more quickly and expeditiously.
[00:13:32] And I think for that to function well, for employers to be able to comfortably allow for that hybrid environment,
[00:13:41] maybe a couple days in the office, three as well, or a little hustle, should I say as well. What advice would you give to young entrepreneurs who are now just starting out aspiring to innovate in the SaaS or tech industry in the same way as you did back at the beginning of your career, because you've been on an incredible journey.
[00:15:01] You've been on that rollercoaster ride of tremendous eyes and tremendous dips and experienced that. I think that's part of the entrepreneur DNA is going with our gut, along with our instinct. Don't forget that as we build our businesses, we tend to forget our core values of what got us into being an entrepreneur, to taking those risks. Go with your gut, go with your instinct, have a laser-like focus. I think those will lead to good outcomes.
[00:16:20] Fantastic advice and a big thank you for from the universe please make this happen if you do hear anything Let me know I'd love to find out more about what you guys talk about
[00:17:41] But we put it out into the universe into the ether
[00:17:44] Let's see what happens and for anyone listening just wanting heart of this, making it something that they're passionate about that they enjoy. But it does leave us with a thought provoking question, how will our own perceptions of productivity evolve in
[00:19:02] this hybrid remote in office model that we're experiencing right now? And
